I’m a visual artist, writer, and educator. I’m here, I’m queer, and I like to draw. I’m an interracial adoptee. I identify as Black, biracial, mixed, and multiracial. I found this community through a BIPOC meditation space. I’m grateful for the healers of color in my life. I’m committed to teaching my middle schoolers to be curious and critical, and to stand up for themselves and others.
We can stop trying to heal the things that are not wrong. We can embrace the things that make us who we are. We can heal from the inside out. Starting with the traumas experienced due to living in a society that has been working against us.
